A summer's day
I am thinking of a hot lazy summer's day with you, out near a lake somewhere. We could go swimming in the cool clear water, get into a splash fight, and goof around. The sky would be blue with puffy white clouds and we could float on our backs and pick out the shapes in the sky. Around lunch time, we could head back to the shore for a lunch out in the sun. We'd have barbecue, and fresh strawberries and every other good thing God ever made to eat. Maybe after that, we could cast a line and fish for a while and just be lazy. You'd help me reapply my sunscreen and that would turn into us embracing and kissing. Then when night fall came, we could lie out underneath the stars, and look at all the constellations. We could catch lightning bugs. Maybe there'd be a full moon that would be enough light to dance by. If it got to be too cold, we could have a little bonfire going and we could tell each other stories until it got really late. Then we'd just fall asleep under the beautiful stars, wrapped in a sleeping bag together, me against you.

Campout
I dream of us having a free week where we can go up to camp and hang out and get away. We'd pack up backpacks, instruments, and some food, pick one of the cabins (I vote for Chalet), and set up to live it up a little in a big playground. We'd hike around the trails, go for swims and paddles, cook excellent meals in the dining hall, and jam out in the lodge in the evenings. Of course there will be campfires and s'mores
, but my favorite idea is to go out to the lower rockytop shelter and have an overnight. We'd pick a clear night where we could build a nice fire, cook s'mores, and hike up to the rock face to watch the sunset and night sky. We'd get to enjoy a cozy time in our sleeping bag as well ;)
Days to Jam
I daydream often about jamming with you. It's one of my favorite things we do together. I think about one day sitting in a living room or on a porch and playing music with you and singing old folk songs. I love the way your face lights up when you play and sing. It's such a simple thing but it brings me so much joy. Sometimes I daydream about it being just the two of us jamming and other times I think of us being with friends and family and having them over for something to eat and then all gathering around and playing and singing-making music together, laughing, and telling stories. We could swap instruments and you could teach me more banjo (thank God you're patient). And we'd sing funny songs and laugh with each other. We'd play until our fingers get sore and then some because it's so much fun. I can't wait to jam with you again.
