A summer's day
I am thinking of a hot lazy summer's day with you, out near a lake somewhere. We could go swimming in the cool clear water, get into a splash fight, and goof around. The sky would be blue with puffy white clouds and we could float on our backs and pick out the shapes in the sky. Around lunch time, we could head back to the shore for a lunch out in the sun. We'd have barbecue, and fresh strawberries and every other good thing God ever made to eat. Maybe after that, we could cast a line and fish for a while and just be lazy. You'd help me reapply my sunscreen and that would turn into us embracing and kissing. Then when night fall came, we could lie out underneath the stars, and look at all the constellations. We could catch lightning bugs. Maybe there'd be a full moon that would be enough light to dance by. If it got to be too cold, we could have a little bonfire going and we could tell each other stories until it got really late. Then we'd just fall asleep under the beautiful stars, wrapped in a sleeping bag together, me against you.
